On One Day This Christmas, Consider God
Heart Prep
As you recall the story of Jesus’ birth, think, today, about God,
the Creator of the world; God, Who gave His only Son; God, Who seeks
not to condemn the world but to save it through the giving of His Son to die for sin.
John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son
into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”
Remember:
This was God’s plan before the beginning of time.
In His sovereignty He has made all things work toward our reconciliation with Him.
His purpose in everything He does is that we might have a relationship with Him for His glory.
Everything He does, everything He allows, is because He knows all and is moving in our lives far beyond our own understanding. God ordained everything: Jesus’ birth, your birth, your salvation. He planned it all out. He loves you and created a plan to bring you to Himself.
“O Lord, our Lord, How majestic is Your name in all the earth!” Read Psalm 8:4-9
