God's Plans for You

Take this time to pray and ask God to open your eyes to see His Hand in your life. Ask Him for strength and faith to believe that He has planned a future and a hope for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord;  ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’”

Today you might be wondering where your life is headed. I’ve had many of those days; you just don’t know what you’re working toward; you can’t see farther than tomorrow in your life. God, the Creator of the Universe, says He knows the plans that HE has for you. He’s going to give you a future and a hope. You don’t have to figure everything out. Stick close to Him, read and study His Word, pray, and He will guide you. It might not be the plan you want or would imagine right now, but His plans are for your wellbeing and they are good. He loves you, His daughter, and He wants to make your future bright if you will let Him. You don’t have to end up like the people around you; you don’t have to fall into the same rut that they are in. Be your own person; be God’s person, and be a light in this world of darkness. You can shine as bright as the stars above that are surrounded by night.

Right now, your future is still a bit blurry. You may not see God’s plan yet, or you might not believe there even is a plan or a good future for you.  But every day, do what you are supposed to do that day. God will bring people, opportunities, maybe even hardships into your life that will guide you at each turning point. Your People might not understand His Plan for you, and you might get a lot of opposition because of it. But if you stick close to Him, He will be your Encourager. And who else could possibly be better at encouraging you than the Encourager Himself? He has great plans for you; give Him a chance to guide you through them. Let go of your plan for yourself and trust His.

Write down 5 of your plans or goals for your life. (current ones)

Take a moment to pray over them and ask God to take away those that don’t comply with His Plan for you.

Write today’s scripture down on a sticky note or a note card and put it some place where you’ll see it every day: on the bathroom mirror; taped next to your light switch; in your pocket, etc.
