How do I know God’s will or plan?
Pray and ask God to help you understand His will.
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Do you recognize your best friend’s voice? Do you know the voices of your parents or siblings? Do you know your best friend’s or your family’s likes and dislikes? Do you know what bothers them or makes them happy? Do you have things in common with these people?
We recognize the voices of the people that we spend the most time with. When we spend time with people, we might even use the same expressions or say things the same way they do. Your relationship with God works the same way. The more time You spend with Him, the more you sound like Him and recognize His voice. If you never read your Bible or pray, you may not be able to hear His voice or know what He would tell you to do in certain situations.
John 10:27 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you
.
When we seek God first, through reading His word and praying, and following His commands, we will begin to figure out His plans for the rest of our lives.
What decisions are you making that you need for God to help you with, or guide you?
